Originally founded in 2006 as DVRDistributors, SourceIT began with a focus on distributing DVR recorders to regional integrators. Over time, we evolved into an industry-leading certified distributor of security products, driven by our commitment to innovation, attention to detail, and the trusted relationships we’ve built with integrators nationwide. By 2008, we led customers in migrating from analog CCTV to megapixel camera systems; by 2012, we transitioned primarily to IP-based surveillance, servers, and networking solutions, rebranding as SourceIT.

In 2019, SourceIT became part of The Kincaid Group, gaining access to strategic resources and partnerships that fueled growth and operational strength. In 2025, The Kincaid Group renamed itself Stella Maris Family Office, launching Kingsmark Security Group to bring together multiple security integrators including SourceIT under one collaborative umbrella. This affiliation enhances our ability to innovate, deepen industry partnerships, and deliver exceptional value to integrators nationwide.
